Every year, I like to take measures to discover more ways of bettering myself. I don’t settle – it’s not in my nature. This year I’m taking on the challenge of One Little Word. When deciding if I was going to embark on this journey in 2013, I read the first few sentences on the class information page.
A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow. From my own personal experience, it can be a catalyst for enriching your life.
Instantly chills shot down my spine and I was terrified. Terrified of the unknown, of the sheer power of what one word could hold, and of tapping into whatever word I chose as my own. You don’t usually view a word as “a catalyst for enriching your life.” After much deliberation and inviting two of my creative catalysts in my life on this journey along with me, I went all in. I embraced that this was the direction for my life in 2013 and it excited me. Fear melted away, excitement took over, and I was ready.
So I am here. Fully aware of my path of embracing everything life has to offer. Follow me along as I embrace creativity, love, growth, beauty, truth, dreams, inspiration, nature, the present, family, change, and most of all life.
