I’m just being an a$$hole. At least we’re honest.

First off – @%$@%$#@%&)*#$%&(# SUCK IT PROGRAM EVALUATION PAPER AND CJ PLANNING & EVALUATION.

There, I feel much much better. That dreaded paper is finally done, the weekend is here, and I have an extra day to detox because I took Monday off from work!

It’s not much of a difference, because I actually have to work on Sunday.

It’s another day, so I’ll take it.

Last night was epic. Pure epicness.

The Melting Pot in Addison, Texas recently reopened and they have been having quite a few promotions to draw traffic back into their location. Last week they started advertising a Ladies Night event and I had to capitalize. Making the reservation for the event was extremely difficult, someone would answer the phone and it took some time to actually get my reservation set in stone. This also is why we ended up with a late dinner time of 9:00PM. Upon arrival, the greeter was friendly and helpful; once our entire party arrived we were seated to start our night. The waiter was very helpful and courtesy as he prepped the different aspects of the menu for us. It would’ve been helpful for him to explain that we could’ve upgraded our cooking styles for the entree, instead we had to stick with the set menu for the event. In the end, the set menu was fine for the amount food we were offered. I don’t think any of us can say we weren’t full.

Life becomes so hectic and busy, it’s hard to get all of your friends in one place. When you get my friends in one place, it leads to a lot of inappropriateness, gorging on food, one person forgetting their ID and not being able to drink, vulgar comments, and douchebaggery (it’s a word today!).

Long Lost BFFs - she drove all the way from Sherman to come play!

Through it all, we have a damn good time. We gorged on fondue like it was nobody’s business and you best believe 9 women can eat some fondue. We laughed loudly and enlightened a few friends to terms they were very unfamiliar with, i.e. Gonzo and Pearl Necklaces (bonus points if you can actually connect the dots on those). One of us may have openly admitted to being an asshole to the waiter. While another had to sit at the table without a drink in front of her because she couldn’t find her ID, but don’t feel too bad for her she got her way on the whole 4 course meal.

And now for the real beginning to the weekend, #backthatazzup Friday!

HOLLA!

This is slowly becoming my favorite day of the week because I get to go and discover so many new jams. This week I would like for you all to support a starving artist with my dear loving sister from another mister, Gabriel Joseph.

I’ve known this diva since Kindergarten and he has a special place in my heart. His EP is on iTunes and if you like to dance music, you are in for a treat.

This week it’s been a combination of two songs that I’ve been rotating between Show Me What U Got and So Good (for my video debut, more on that in a later post).

So #backthatazzup with Gabriel Joseph’s Show Me What U Got!

I love girls nights at the Melting Pot! We used to go a lot in San Diego, but once Meredith and Amanda moved away they mostly stopped. I don’t know if there’s anything better than drinking and laughing with girlfriends 🙂

Lizzie and Megan did it once in California. They had a tarot card reader who told me and Lizzie we should both have 3 kids now…not the most reliable source.
