Ain’t nothing like the weekend!
Hello vodka lovers! I hope your weekend was as fulfilling as mine ended up being. I won’t even lie – I was dreading and looking forward to the weekend after the week I had. Quite a few days were spent in the office well after the time I was suppose to leave because of a huge project that came up (and some other crazy things). The Beat is no joke and believe me when I say there is never a dull day.
Back to what we are all really here for, the weekend recap! I have a notorious track record of kicking my weekends off on Thursday evening. It’s a precursor to prepare myself for the long day at work on Fridays. This Thursday did not disappoint as I got to spend time with a few of my blogger friends with Dallas Blogger Collective at the new Kendra Scott in Preston Plaza store.
It was a fun evening with an exclusive look at their new collection and the beautiful store! I was even lucky enough to win one of the raffles for any item from the color bar (so did my partner in crime). Shout out to Dallas Blogger Collective and Kendra Scott at Preston Plaza for the fun evening.
After a busy and late Friday at work, David and I managed to make it a low key evening with just the two of us. We had dinner together, caught up with each other, and caught up on DVR. You know the typical old married couple stuff you do on a Friday evening together. We needed it because Saturday was going to be our busy day.
We started out the day with brunch at Mexican Sugar with a few of my forever friends. It just feels good to start your Saturday morning out with people that you just love. We’ll discuss Mexican Sugar in a future post, because that place deserves the holy grail it was so delicious.
Brunch was quickly followed up with a wedding a blessed union of one of the sweetest and most righteous couples that I had the pleasure of meeting while at the Mothership. The ceremony was beautiful and the weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding. We laughed, celebrated, drank, and explored all while celebrating the union of our sweet Girl Scout Extraordinaire.
It was an awesome reunion of the Area 6 Team from the Mothership and it didn’t disappoint. Little S wore lots of colors and we all meshed so well together. It was so good being with my old team and I’m surprised that David was able to handle the cutting up we did.
We capitalized on the beautiful weather and spectacular venue, Savannah’s Meadow.
All in all, it was a great weekend and a low key Easter.
How was your weekend?
