No matter what and this weekend was a WIN in my book! I finally embarked upon my first official Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade and it was surreal. My friends and I were equipped with our ponchos, 90 jello shots, and enough booze to get us nice and toasted.
We started at 10:00 in the morning with coffee and Bailey’s – that was the beginning of a sweet end….
I cannot describe how wild the entire day was, but it was surreal. The parade was entertaining and the concert was definitely high energy – Ludacris put on one hell of a show!
For some crazy odd reason, I made additional plans to hang out with some co-workers after the parade festivities – so I paced myself like a champ the entire day.
Drinking in moderation and staying as hydrated as possible, I managed to drive through a monsoon to meet up with my co-workers for further debauchery and drinking.
I had no clue that my liver was in for such a beating. You see, I am usually not a shots person. In all reality, I attempt to steer clear of shots because my gag reflex has gotten much worse since I was the tender age of 23. Can’t quite throw them back like I use to be able to, you know?
If you would’ve ran into me last night, I am pretty sure I was tossing shots back like a desperate 19 year old trying to get a quick buzz! LIKE A CHAMP! It was a sight of true beauty as I stumbled along and managed to have a decent time. The entire time my dignity slowly kept slipping away.
The pictures started. We
needed wanted to capture the drunken beauty of this alcohol induced evening. This added to the slow demise of my dignity, because I became that person. You know what person who I am talking about – the dreaded Facebook oversharer. Every picture, was Facebook worthy and had to be posted immediately.
Who is this person?!? LOOK AT HER!
All in all, the night was great! And if you are wondering, I definitely lost my dignity.
Hope your weekend fared better than me and Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
