but not in a bar. (Name that movie!)
WE HAVE A BABY!
Momma Bird has graced TBF with a baby girl to spoil. Don’t get me wrong, I love the boys. I do!
BUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTT dear Lord baby Jesus (name that movie!) we needed a girl. Momma Bird needed her mini me. Oh and I needed a reason to splurge on pink and lace and hair bows and all the cute girl fabric that is out there right now.
Imagine my excitement with the one day I venture into the shop at my little satellite office of the mothership to come across this little gem. There was no way in hell that I was leaving it there. I just couldn’t! Plus, I know with my luck
if when WareBear and I have little mulatto babies – they will all be boys.
Don’t ask why I think that, but I just have a feeling deep down in my gut.
The opportunity was in front of me, so I capitalized on it. I got the bib and the onesie. As I’ve been collecting other things that I need to take to the post office, I kept staring at this bib because it was lacking something. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it until I went to Hobby Lobby one day for a quick fabric run.
The inspiration hit me like a ton of bricks as I waltzed through the spools of ribbon and laid my eyes on perfection….lace.
This damn bib needs frilly, girly lace. I’ll be damned I forgot what fabric I went into Hobby Lobby for. I scooped up that lace and was at the check out line faster than you could say “get it giiiirrrrrlllllll.” Since I’ve been so busy I haven’t had glamorize it up with lace until this past Thursday. Kopper wouldn’t sit still long enough to be my model for the picture, so I had to just lay it flat.
It’s ridiculously cute right now, but on our newest addition it’s going to be mind blowing. She was already the envy in the nursery with her Vera Bradley blanket!
I’m going to be the play aunt that makes a diva out of her. One thing I will make sure she is well aware of is:
