Bruno Mars got me to the weekend!

It’s the weekend!

Bruno Mars, if you happen to be reading this right now – your new album Unorthodox Jukebox helped me survive the week. Thanks for being so fabulous!

Splurge fest on myself kicked off what may prove to be a wild weekend. With work tomorrow, finishing my craft exchange project (that I switched up at the last minute), running 6.5 miles on Sunday, and giving my liver a run for it’s money during the Super Bowl – then recovering on Monday (took the day off from work), I know my body is in for it. Thus, the reason why yours truly took this Friday evening to spend a little hard earned money on herself.

My obsession with Origami Owl is bad. They were Christmas presents for o2TBF and since then I am always finding new charms that I need. Just my luck, my near and dear friend Kelly just became an Independent Designer of O2. Go like her on Facebook and visit her site to join the movement, obsession, and newest guilty pleasure. Tonight was Momma Charlene’s O2 party and of course, I was the first to arrive. New silver locket, silver chain, and two new charms later – this lady is one happy camper. I can conquer the rest of the weekend with style in my corner.

basted quiltFor my weekend sewing projects, I’ve got big plans to finish my craft exchange project tomorrow and get them mailed out! Don’t hold your breath, that is the positive end of the spectrum with my odds. Also, big news on the mini cupcake quilt – it’s basted! YIPPEE! If time works on my side, quilting will begin this weekend and over the next week. I hope to get it out before Valentine’s day – once again don’t hold your breath. Don’t forget I still have that trip to JoAnn’s for the border for Chrissy’s quilt. To top off my weekend starting out wickedly awesome, I totally won a drawing on the Sew Modern Dallas Chicks meet up group. I NEVER WIN THINGS, so it was a huge deal for me.

Any exciting plans this weekend? Let me know in the comments!
