Camille Albane Salon Grand Opening + Thursday Threads

Happy Thursday people! I’ve been meaning to blog all week, but I’ve been caught knee deep in binge watching the X Files. Basically, Netflix has been my best friend!

Last night, I didn’t allow that to be the case because DFW Style Daily were the gracious host for the grand opening of the new Camille Albane Salon in Addison. Seeing as this was right around the corner from my neighborhood, I had to go out and support. It’s not often that Dallas has events so close to the house. Totally worth the drive! The salon was so clean and the staff incredibly welcoming. The best part about it is that they pride themselves on the balyage technique that  is taught to each stylist specifically by a trained professional all the way from Paris, France.

Valery and I mingled, snacked on delicious bites, and explored the salon with an interest in all of the exciting services they offer. Shout out to DFW Style Daily and Camille Albane Salon for such a fun event!

Instead of wearing my drab (actually fab) work clothes, I opted to wear a simple black maxi dress with a simple statement necklace. Definitely going for a simple, but classic look with this outfit that wouldn’t weigh me down since this Texas heat is no joke.

I scored this maxi dress from Kohl’s for a steal and it has been one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. It’s so lightweight and can easily be dressed up or down. I opted for a casual look with strappy gladiator sandals and a gold quilted round clutch.

Nailed the Valery signature pose! YAAAAAAAASSSSSS!

To top off the outfit, I added a headband for an extra pop of color (and to hold my messy afro puff back). If there is one thing I value during the summer is an outfit that doesn’t require too much maintenance on my part. If it’s comfortable, I’m all for it!

Gorgeous! I love when you can find something for a steal and then it becomes a wardrobe staple! Such a classic and simple dress!
