At the end of last year and beginning of this year, I’ve hinted to the fact that I want to do better in all aspects of my life. My first Glitter Tales was about resolutions and weight loss.
Personally, professionally, and physically pushing myself with all of my goals to be the best version of myself that I can be. For this month’s Diversity Chic, I’m super excited that we get to tackle a trend that I’ve been doing a pretty good job of going above and beyond with my workout goals from earlier this year.
Which has made talking about the reason behind this Diversity Chic so much more sweeter, because I can share a new passion of mine and the fact that I have found comfort in doing it. Before we move forward, here’s a friendly reminder of what DC is all about.
Diversity Chic is a collaboration of Dallas bloggers showcasing current fashion trends on a variety of skin tones, hair colors, body types and heights. Each month we will feature a new trend tailored to our personalities and style.
Our focus is to explore the world of fashion in its unique, diverse, and stylish manner – one trend at a time.
As I was saying this month is near and dear to me because I’ve been expanding my wardrobe for a completely different reason – keeping up with my fitness. Stephanie was kind enough to introduce me to Christine and her awesome gym, Kaia FIT North Dallas and my life hasn’t been the same since. I started out thinking it would just be something that I would try for a little while and now I’m a full fledge Kaia girl through and through.
We’ll talk more about Kaia, but let’s talk about my fitness wear.
About the Outfit
Working out is all about comfort! You’ve got to be comfortable in order to effectively focus on your workout. I use to be the type of girl who would wear baggy shorts and an oversized t-shirt to work out in and easily become distracted with the fact that it was hanging off of me. With the different types of workouts that we do at Kaia, I quickly realized that wouldn’t work. To get the best out of each of my workouts, I’ve quickly learned to set aside my concerns about my problem areas and wear the tightest clothes possible.
My shirt is a simple cotton Kaia Fit branded t-shirt shirt with a C9 compassion sports bra from Target – they keep everything in place with each workout without feeling constricted.
The best part of this outfit are definitely the workout tights! These workout tights are some of the most amazing tights I’ve ever come across and the fact that Target has them in such fun colors/patterns makes working out so stylish. They fit my wide hips and butt, which is a lifesaver when you are doing as many squats as we do. I love the snug comfortable fit.
My shoes are comfortable Asics with a pop of fun added with my Schwings. They are running/cross trainers that are made for the constant moving that we are doing at Kaia Fit. The Schwings just make me feel festive every time I put my shoes on, so I always buy them for any new pair of workout shoes that I wear.
About the Trend
Each day I’m finding myself more and more excited about heading to Kaia FIT North Dallas for the workout of the day and excited to see all of my favorite ladies. Which has spurred my continued need to buy new workout clothes to make myself feel better.
Kaia FIT North Dallas has become a regular routine each week and I couldn’t be more happy about the results that I’m seeing. Christine has created an environment for women to come as they are and leave stronger than ever. Each time I go to a workout, I find myself conquering a new goal and setting the bar higher for my next workout.
If you are interested in trying out Kaia FIT North Dallas, classes are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 5:00AM, 6:00AM, 9:00AM, 5:30PM, and 6:30PM.
