What a wonderful ending to a short weekend! Not often do I get to surprise people, but today was a total success. I’ve been plotting very hard and keeping lots of secrets these past few weeks to have a shower for my baby sister. She’s having her second little boy in just a matter of weeks and didn’t plan on having a baby shower. With my keen party throwing skills and dire need to make for this little one, I did it!
My older sister and mom were able to keep a secret, her friends didn’t let it slip, and I managed to finish all the projects that I needed to have done before today. She was very indecisive when it came to picking a theme for Ezra when I did some digging a few weeks ago, so I whipped out my favorite theme for little boys. MUSTACHES!
She arrived late to be greeted by a mustache and bunting flag banner on my front door. We all walked outside to watch as she was shocked with the fact that she didn’t know that this was happening.
It was a beautiful moment for a deserving soul. The chills I had as she was truly surprised and watching her cry was magical. I couldn’t ask for a better moment to end this weekend. Seeing as I am very excited for Ezra (Ezzy Bear) to arrive, I had to make sure to spoil him with his own toy crate and blanket.
Being the amazing aunt I am, I partnered with Indigo LaRue to whip out the blanket and bunting flags to personalize his little niche in the world. Every little man deserves his own shine and I like to think that today was a starting point for such a dapper future gentleman.
All in all, today was a great blessing and joyous day. I couldn’t ask for a better end to the weekend.
