So much good material and I avoid it all to write about the first pitch.
If you are a sports driven person, you are probably thinking baseball. This is far from baseball. This is new territory for a simple ol’ lady like myself who decided to start blogging again because she missed. What’s the purpose in that?
Saturday night before I passed out (in my cute outfit from brunch, wedges included, and a full face of make up), I received a very interesting request via email.
The Indie Chicks made a request for my talents to come on over to play with the big girls. Not only that, but they are willing to let me play more than once.
I browsed where all the cool chicks like to hang out and read a few blogs, but it was the about section where I knew I could easily find a niche with them.
The Indie Chicks is so much more than a self empowerment magazine, it’s a lifestyle. We aim to develop and empower the woman’s sense of self and help guide her toward embracing her inner badass in every aspect of her life.
YES! YES! YES! I have found my people (or they found me).
I’m a little quirky and think outside the box. Fearlessly defined should probably be tattooed on my body somewhere. I live by a motto of “I’m going to make the biggest goddamn explosion you’ve ever heard.” -Elizabeth Taylor, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
The decision was fairly easy. I’m writing up my pitch. I’m selling my soul. Cross your fingers that The Indie Chicks realized that I’m exactly what they want and need!
Oh and just to give you a little heads up, September is the month of Sevi (aka my birthday month). The greatest part about celebrating my birthday month is that I will also be celebrating GEEK MONTH with Elise at CheekyGeeks. Get ready because this next month will be wild!
