Here we are at our third fundraising friday update! I cannot believe how close we are until the 3 day. Actually, I can because today is exactly 2 weeks away from the big event getting started. By now I would actually be at opening ceremonies, probably a little teary eyed and ready to get start.
I’ve got my Facebook alerts set, so that all my family and friends can keep track of me. My attempt to get ahead on my homework is working (not really, next week will be cram week for me). The fundraising is….it’s much easier if I show you….
YUP! 100% finished. All $2300 (and a nice little bit of change more) has been raised for me to walk in the Dallas 3-Day Walk.
I couldn’t be more happier that I am actually going to be achieving this goal in a year that has delivered my biggest triumphs and toughest tribulations that I’ve ever faced. What I’ve learned is faith prevails through it all and you just have to remember that its bigger than all of us.
“Breast cancer is not just a disease that strikes at women. It strikes at the very heart of who we are as women: how others perceive us, how we perceive ourselves, how we live, work and raise our families-or whether we do these things at all.” -Debbie Wasserman Schultz
