Sew Can She is my absolute favorite website to find quick and easy tutorials for a variety of different projects. You name it, Sew Can She inspires you to tackle a new project with instructions readily available. As you already are familiar with the Flying Geese Tote is my new modern go to bag to make. I made one for myself about a month ago and love to use it for a variety of different things (work, baseball games, fabric store outings, etc.). I loved mine so much that I decided it would be the perfect gift for our sweet work intern, who has become a near and dear friend. She just turned 21 and is leaving the voyager for the summer to oversee her own research. Being so smart and intelligent, she needs a modern bag to keep up stuff organized.

How adorable is that tote bag?! I mean really?!?! I cannot get enough of this easy to make tote that is much bigger in person that the picture. I am so happy with this birthday gift and cannot wait to give it to her!
On another note, a request was made for basic sewing lessons via this blog. I’m all about requests, so this summer I’ll be adding that to the queue of Ware is the Vodka?!?
