Happy New Year!

It’s my first weekend of the new year! Hello 2014! How Are Ya?!?  I was fortunate enough to ring in the new year with my awesome friends that remind me that my life is never a dull moment – even when you have to work on New Year’s Day.

Yes, the voyager was open on New Year’s Day – no break for the weary.

Regardless of the fact that I had to be to work, we had a grand old time and proved that a few of us all of us are board game bullies.

2013 was my year to embrace any and everything. 2014 is my year to be fearless. It’s a year to take risks and make mistakes. Honestly life isn’t perfect and people are meant to be a little quirky.

I’ve got my Erin Condren Life Planner and May Designs notebook to take on 2014 with a vengeance. The possibilities for this year are endless!

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.

So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it.

Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”  -Neil Gaiman

Oh I’m sorry you had to work. I like the idea of mistakes not necessarily being bad. You learned something, you tried something. Happy New Year girl.

Taking risks and making mistakes is how some of the best things in our life get the opportunity to happen. 🙂
I had to work on New Year’s Day, too. I’m pretty sure I was sleeping with my eyes open.

New Year’s Day was brutal! Definitely a good way of taking risks and making mistakes by going to work hungover 🙂
