This post will be short and sweet for two reasons.
1. I have a sore throat and the man insist that I cannot blog about all my sewing fun until I have adequate pictures.
2. I don’t have the energy to go over all my wonderful spoils from fabric mania weekend.
You all are in luck because I took an extra two days off from work this week to do homework and catch up on some sewing. Which means I will get to share all the goodies that I managed to score this weekend.
If someone would’ve told me a year ago that I would be training for a half marathon and willingly getting up on Sundays for long runs – I would’ve slapped them.
This is the lady who hates running and would much rather spend her Sundays in sewing bliss.
I never imagined that I would actually be running over 5 miles, unless I had zombies, killer clowns, or a hoard of cockroaches chasing me. Today we did it. We conquered 9.54 miles in 2 hours and 10 minutes. Even with a sore throat, I conquered it.
It may not be the fastest, we are doing 3 minutes running and 1 minute walking intervals, but all that matters is that we were out there. The group of women that I train with are amazing, motivating, and fierce. We are all in it for our own reasons, but the bond we’ve grown over these past few weeks is great. I couldn’t ask for a better group of women to experience my first half marathon with.
I can’t believe I said first. Like I plan on running others…
Tomorrow, I’ll share the real spoils of what wore me out this weekend!
