Mexico 2014 – The Recap

There are not enough words to describe the amazing trip that Mexico 2014 was and will forever be. I desperately needed a vacation and it was exactly what was in order. The resort was beautiful, the company was grand, and I was able to spend an entire week with the love of my life without a worry or care in the world.

From the moment I got on the plane, I knew this would be a trip worth every penny we spent. David and I took full advantage of the all inclusive food and drinks, never missing any meal. We even took the pleasure of ordering room service a few times, just because. YES, JUST BECAUSE!

Instead of giving a blow by blow detail of every aspect of the trip, I wanted to share some of the highlights of this magical trip to paradise.

  • Waking up to the fresh air every morning was divine. I did not take any allergy medicine whatsoever during our vacation. It was beautiful!
  • We had robes and slippers in our “home” (not room) for the week. I was more than thrilled that I could take the slippers home (took David’s as well)!
  • Beyond the resort: David and I went to Tulum and snorkeled with sea turtles and I went to Playa trying to stalk a Dallas Radio Personality by the name of Big Al Mac. I wasn’t successful at my stalking, but David and I had a blast out in town.
  • The drinking was definitely a highlight because I tried any and everything. Vodka was not my downfall, because I love it so much. My actual downfall just happened to be champagne that I took a random shot at drinking each evening!

A vast majority of my time was spent relaxing on the beach without a worry in the world. It was great just being in the sun, with a good book, and my favorite guy by my side. I wouldn’t trade any moment from the entire vacation.

So that’s it, Mexico 2014!

I need to send a huge shout-out to my guest bloggers: Lindsay, Stephanie, and Valery. Thank you all for keeping my little ol’ corner of the interwebs safe while  I was away frolicking in the sand. Enjoy the gifts and lets plan for our blogger getaway!

Adios and back to our regular scheduled drunken blogging!

Since you haven’t written a post about your Christmas in July giveaway, here’s my comment on a random post about what I’d do with $200 to I’d probably buy shoes, or books, or clothes, or home decor, or…. the list goes onnn.
