An open letter to ModCloth:
Thank you so much for your diligent efforts in getting me to spend my hard earned money with your online boutique.
After making my first purchase with you all for the stunning dress I wore during my flower girl debut, your co-founder was kind enough to send me the generated email in regards to that same purchase. It was kind enough that you all made the effort to send such a ingeniously crafted automatic email.
Unfortunately, you guys have crossed the line. You are too smart for your own good and with my needy stupidity – I GAVE IN.
It all started with an email….
This skirt was added to my wish list about two months ago with every intention to purchase it. Your email with the almost out of stock sent me straight into panic mode. I couldn’t let this beauty that would go so well with so much in my closet get away from me. I frantically stopped everything I was doing at my real job to rush to your website and purchase it.
With only 5 in stock in my size, I quickly contemplated what would happen if I waited until I got home to purchase this.
Would it still be available? How many other people had added this swoon-worthy item to their wishlist? Did they all receive the same email as me? WERE THEY ALL WORKING TOWARD PURCHASING IT RIGHT NOW?
Without fail, I was hooked. Never in my life have I added my credit card information into a website so fast (except for when I was buying Beyonce concert tickets).
The skirt is mine. It’ll be here in 4-9 days. The Texas weather is shaping up really nicely that this will look fantastic with all the fall scarves I am pulling out.
Very truly yours, I am
