Happy Monday people! Let’s not waste any time because I’m really trying to recover from this Monday hangover.
Friday after work, I didn’t even attempt to drive home because I had big plans to head to Fair Park to see Nicki Minaj perform at Gexa. I changed from my business casual attire and put on an entire face of makeup to head out to Deep Ellum for drinks and dinner. You can check out my Zomato profile to check out where we went, but we got the party started before heading to Gexa.
We made it just in time to catch the last 20 minutes of Meek Mill’s set before gearing up for Nicki Minaj. Y’all ONIKA put on a show! I seriously could not get enough of her entire set, all the songs, and when she spit her verse on ***Flawless – consider me slayed.
We managed to make it out of Gexa and home at a decent time! Which was awesome because my Saturday was just packed with errands, a birthday party, and quality time with my favorite people.
Saturday morning started out with a nice breakfast with Claire. It was much needed after I finished my last session with my grief counselor. We got to talk about life and her training for the Susan G Komen 3 Day. After breakfast, I managed to run errands and stop for a quick meeting. I squeezed in a visit to the Vintage House and it was for the most amazing treat.
I cannot brag enough about all the greatness that is coming from Alli K Design. She was apart of my blog giveaway last year and since her handlettering business is picking up beautifully. This lady boss is making a name for herself and seriously one of the sweetest souls I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know. My weekend was made when she created this astounding “Sevi” piece!
Seriously, it was the perfect piece to carry me through the rest of the weekend.
After this I head over to the Roye Household for Adam’s birthday fiesta! If you remember the sweet Roye couple, David and I (selfie stick in tow) celebrated their holy matrimony last fall. You don’t miss one of their parties and this was another example. It was a great afternoon in the sun, catching up with friends, and eating delicious cake. Seriously, Adam is so loved and you can totally tell from the massive selfie that we managed to capture of nearly everyone.
Saturday evening was spent eating delicious brisket and ribs with one of my favorite families, the Binfords. It was the perfect evening of chit chat and vodka tonics.
Sunday was laundry and a Dallas Blogger Collective webinar. We are still trying to get our house back in order from our road trip and its not as easy as I would like it to be. Where is my maid to clean my entire house and fold laundry for me?!?
Well here we are at Monday and tonight we are shooting the July edition of Diversity Chic! Get ready for style coming your way beautiful people.
