Monday Hangover

Monday Hangover: The Hangover

I’m writing this from Stephanie’s humble abode with a wicked hangover on a Sunday at 1:35PM. The worst part about this hangover is that right now, at this exact moment I’m drinking a Raspberry Lemonade and Vodka cocktail

Basically this wasn’t the best weekend for yours truly. Holy hangover!

Of course this weekend kicked off with a Friday of decorating the house for the 4th. This craft exchange was perfect getting me set up for the 4th with quite a few goodies for this holiday!

After getting the house all festive, I managed to put on my favorite red, white and blue wear to head out for the night all over the metroplex where we would watch fireworks.

After parking it in a location for the Farmers Branch fireworks, we quickly made our way over to Addison to catch the end of Kaboom town. We didn’t take any pictures because we were focused on actually enjoying the fireworks. Just an fyi, the fireworks were beautiful! It was a grand ol’ time and it was nice having a low key evening together.

Saturday was a planned day with my adopted mom and dad, Claire and Albert. They have an amazing oasis in their backyard and the weather has been so horrible this spring and summer that we haven’t really had a chance to enjoy their pool. God bless America and Texas because the weather panned out perfectly for an amazing pool day.

I spent most of my day lounging around on “Nea.” Yes, that’s the shark’s name! All day Nea and I floated around in this perfect oasis with a few of my favorite people. We laughed, joked, and ate so well! It was nice spending quality time just getting to be a girl and laugh about the most absurd things. There wasn’t any pressure on looking picture perfect with a face full of makeup or being out with movers and shakers. I can do that at any time, but this was my time to just enjoy drinks in the company of the people nearest and dearest to me. Boy did I drink quite a bit and it was not pretty at one point. What can I say, I really love vodka!

Which brings us back to Sunday. Stephanie and Holden graciously hosted a fun pool day at their home. Of course, I bought my laptop and managed to blog a whopping two sentences before we ate a delicious spread of Mexican food and enjoyed some pool time.

Now I’m home and exhausted from the weekend.
