Monday Hangover | Close to Home

It’s here! The first Monday Hangover ever!

Of course, I would decided to start a link up on the weekend that I have no plans whatsoever. You read that right, I didn’t have one thing planned for this entire weekend and it was glorious. That didn’t stop me from having a grand ol’ time, because my weekends rarely consist of just a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I love living life on the wild side and kicked of my pre-weekend on a Wednesday!

I highly recommend pre-weekends.

Mine just happen to start with Blue Mesa and their FREE quesadilla bar with Valery. We had big plans for my pre-weekend – a 90s POP Princesses Singalong at Alamo Drafthouse.

That 90s singalong was life. I literally fangirled out as they played so many of my jams. David probably would’ve laughed at me because every time a familiar song came on, I instantly thought “THAT’S MY JAM!” I sang until my throat was raw and my voice was fleeting away. All in all, it was an amazing kick off to what I knew would be a low key weekend.

Friday came around and this Dallas weather did not help out all the plans I originally had for making my way around Old Downtown Carrollton. Stephanie and I met up at The Vintage House early to snap a few cute outfit photos and indulge in sweet treats. Before the weather got worse, we were able to visit Social Media Delivered (more on them later this week) and enjoy some wine and social media small talk.

I had another event in Downtown Carrollton at the Plaza, celebrating my sweet girl Rese’s Quinceañera. Thankfully, I arrived just in the nick of time because the wildest storms dropped upon us. Luckily we didn’t hit any snafus in the party with power outages or having to shelter from a tornado. Rese was beautiful and I’m honored that I got to be apart of her special day.

As for the rest of my weekend, I spent it in my robe with my husband, puppies, and some much needed sunshine. It was much needed after the last few weekends of plans. What made the weekend even better is that this was the first time that David and I had it off together – we indulged. I allowed myself to be an absolute girl with my favorite guy.

Thanks for linking up girl and coming out to the Chocolate Walk with me. Even though it was low key, it was much needed and deserved. I was enlightened to the fact that I missed being around my husband.

It was so much fun and I even scored a free tote bag from The Vintage House. I made it to my next event on Friday night right before the downpour started. I’ll take that as a win in my book!

I am a firm believer in the pre-weekend. I mean it just makes so much sense. The 90s singalong was life changing (I really mean that); it was the single greatest event I have ever been to in my life.

Who is your best friend?!? I am so curious to how small this world is about to get!
