Movin’ on up!

Kinda sort of….I have a window now and sunlight can bask my beautiful brown skin while I work at the mothership.

B desperately wanted to come with!

B desperately wanted to come with!

This dust is far from settling at the mothership and this week has proved that (it isn’t even over yet). You see the week started out with me packing up my old desk at my little home away from home for the past 3 years.

Team Wicked Sick were and always will be my family. They’ve been their for my triumphs, the days when I didn’t think I could go forward, the few times I would cry my eyes out, and those downright ugly days when I have been ready to go to war for what I thought was right. Every step of the way I’ve had my rocks that have made me feel like every morning, regardless of how bad the previous day was, it was worth it to see their faces and feel their love. Over the last 3 years, we’ve grown closer than ever. We’ve celebrated birthdays, rejoiced in new love, and overcome adversity in our little satellite office of the mothership.

Cleaning my desk off on Tuesday was heartbreaking and surreal. I was actually leaving my safe place. My home away from home. The tears didn’t come out as I fully expected them to. It dawned on me, I’ve been primed for this. My relationship with these women wouldn’t fade away because I would be in a different home (aka the mothership). This would make things better. We would have even more reasons to go the extra mile to see each other. It was heavy on my heart, but I was ready to conquer my next challenge….the mothership.

My hub at the mothership. I have a window for the first time in 3 years!

I arrived late afternoon Tuesday to the mothership and went straight up to my hub. Teacup Chihuhua (my co-sister) help me unpack my car on her birthday as I moved in my small apartment.

You fail to realize how much shit you can actually accumulate over the course of 3 years.

Hi, my name is Sevi and I have a serious hoarding problem.

I was lacking the real estate that I had at the satellite office and had to make due with the situation. Sacrifices can be a real bitch. I went from dealing with the creme de la creme of real estate (minus the window – I’m a sun goddess, I NEED THE LIGHT) to limited space (for my hoarding issues) but BOMB lighting. The unpacking became a tetris game – what can fit where? I’m horrible at tetris and had to finally decided to take a few items home. I knew for a fact that I needed 3 things: my people, a dash of peace, and a Hello Kitty.

I am proud to say that I actually managed it and can happily share the space of Sevi.

Since moving in, I’ve encountered the craziest week known to man and seriously cannot wait for this weekend.

5 reasons my weekend is going to rock so hard:

1. Daddy and Daughter Cowboys Game tonight!

2. Luke Bryan at the House of Blues tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at 10:00AM (Pray that I get tickets).

3. Throwback Jam Party at Where’s Ware Household Saturday night (Drunk Gummy Bears and Jello Shots)!

4.  Mafia Ladies Sunday Night Drinkathon.

5. Labor Day = Free Day Off, Start of GEEK MONTH, and Sevi’s BIRTHDAY MONTH!

I love your new office space! Also, I’m insanely jealous of your weekend. I have zero plans and am thinking of driving into St. Louis to do some exploring on my own or something! I feel like I need to travel to Texas and let you rock my weekend sometime!
