It’s been one of those weeks with school, work, and my quest to become a sewing goddess. Indigo LaRue and I worked so hard to finish all of our crafts for the craft exchange.
You know the one that I’ve mentioned a few times, but could never give away what I was making!
The amazing craft group that I was invited to – which I honestly cannot believe I am worthy to hang with, all just happen to love the same thing as yours truly – a fine bottle of wine (or any alcoholic beverage). So what’s more fitting than stylish handmade coasters! Talk about a much needed break to embrace my creativity. It was an easy project (besides the cutting fabric – I hate cutting fabric) and I sampled a few different tutorials from the interwebs. WareBear was very strict on my fabric usage – which translates to use what you already have and stop spending money on more. He had a point and I tried to be a good girl. I did end up buying a few more fabric sets, which was fine. The man still loves me. Indigo LaRue and I put in some serious quality time to crank these out and get two shipped to Ohio.
Last night was the big evening and when I say talent – I mean TALENT, was in full swing.
The rules were simple – you had to make 8 (one for yourself included) and they had to be homemade. As you can see from the picture above, talent was not short in this group. We drank wine, we opened each other’s gifts, gave a brief overview of the process, and drank more wine. The best part about it all is – WE ARE GOING TO DO IT AGAIN. Which means, I have two more times this year to enjoy getting gifts from the gang.
All I can say is – my life just got infinitely cooler. Be jealous.
