Party Planning: He or She?

Image-1 (14)I love to decorate for themed events and I am slowly allowing myself to enjoy it more and more. There is something about decorating a place that just seems so magical.

I can still vividly remember when my work wifey (no, we do not work together – but I still refer to her as my work wifey) called to tell me she was expecting a little bundle of joy. The last time I got this excited about a baby, it was a little Bird that’ll be 5 years old (I love the other little Birds).

My mind instantly started spinning to a number of different things I wanted needed to do – gender reveal, baby shower, personalized maternity gown, etc. – the possibilities were endless to me!

It took some convincing from one of her near and dear friends, because my photo (2)work wife is a stubborn one – but the GENDER REVEAL is this weekend! The Youngs will have their doctor seal up the results on Thursday and patiently await until Saturday for the big surprise!

The theme is coming together nicely and The S Team is slowly pulling everything together. Due to my decorating prowess, I had already started pulling together an idea of what I wanted to go with… E-vites these days are not very gender reveal friendly, so I had to modify the invite and send it in an email with a Google Form for the RSVPs – worked wonders and allowed more freedom for me to craft to my liking.

Last night I moved forward with all of my creative focus for this amazing gender reveal party. I foresee quite a few mustaches and lips in my future! The picture doesn’t do the crafting that I have started any justice. It’s the simple joy of creating for someone who truly deserves the very best on her journey to motherhood.

I cannot wait to share the pictures from this sure to be spectacular event.
