The Dallas Quilt Show has come and gone, but the projects keep on flowing!
It was such an experience and I had an absolute blast seeing the different projects. To be honest, viewing other projects is just so awe-inspiring. There is something about understanding the time and skills that other individuals put into projects to motivate you.
This was my first quilt show and I learned that my skills are still very beginner, but everyone has to start somewhere!
I learned a very valuable lesson while browsing the different quilts, quilting isn’t just a hobby. While some people make quilts for families, profits, or just for themselves – it is an art form. The designs, the time, the colors, and so much more make for a real form of expressing yourself in a way that is unique. Hearing the stories and inspirations behind different quilts was phenomenal, because I know one day I will be able to share my own stories.
This was another step towards QuiltCon 2015 – it definitely helped me realize that I absolutely enjoying quilting. It’s my own way of just relaxing and creating something special and one of kind.
Once I submit this thesis, I plan on crafting many memories!
