WareBear has made it clear that I have reached my trip quota for 2014 (Vegas in May, Cancun in July, and possibly going to Texas Style Council), so I have to start looking forward to 2015. Oh and we may be buying a house this year, so yeah no more trips for me. Back to 2015 – QuiltCon is in Austin. Which means this trip will be dirt cheap for me, because it’s right in my home state. I could drive to Austin with sewing machines in tow or pack up my sewing machines and fly.
With the elusive final class looming right around the corner, I decided to utilize my three day weekend with a little sewing therapy!
I made a promise to make quilts for my entire family and I am slowly starting to work my way through that. What is good about this crazy feat that I am taking on is that it will help me build my portfolio and skills before QuiltCon 2015.
A quilt top is finished and the piecing started for one of the boys quilts. So happy with this project just far, but I am making a list of things that this quilter is more than happy to admit.
In addition to this long tedious quilting process, I have some very exciting things in the works for this summer. It involves sewing, a new machine, and a business plan! EEK! So ready for what is to come in the near future!
Back to work today, still barely rocking a voice – but back to work!
