Dallas, Reviews

Anything rolled this good should be illegal.

Oh after last night, it is definitely true. Yours truly was able to enjoy a fun night out for the launch of TX Burrito Company!

The invite was very unexpected and welcoming as I always love to have a good time. It also helped that I am a huge fan of another one of their food trucks – The Butcher’s Son! Since working in Downtown, finding a friend to hang out with me for fun events like this is easier. When I texted Katie and asked if she was game to go out – yoga became an afterthought.

She met me at the voyager, parked her car, and we were off – this was the event to be at! First off, they knocked it out of the park by hosting this event at Community Beer Company. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a familiar face from the blog land, Helene from Helene in Between. She is kinda of famous in the fact that she is a fantastic local blogger and she runs social media for the company. After getting us all checked in, Helene pointed Katie and myself into the direction of the delicious food.

We made a quick pit stop and grabbed some beers, which I highly recommend Community Beer Company if you are a lover of beer. Let’s talk about the real star of the night, TX Burrito Company. John from Wisconsin was a delight and extremely helpful as we made our selections. The choices were vast and with the delicious smells coming from the truck were enough to make you want to try everything on the menu.

After requesting recommendations from John, we finally made our choices: Katie sided with the Lone Star and I tested the varieties with a Hanger 9 and Alamo taco.

OMG! I can’t speak for the burrito, because Katie didn’t share (she can’t speak for the tacos, because I didn’t even think to offer her a bite) – IT WAS ALL AMAZING! We were totally foodies and took pictures of the delicious bites.

All I could think was that WareBear is going to love this food truck, because everything is spot on with it.

A variety of different choices are available to the burrito lover, taco fans, and anything else Tex-Mex that you may be seeking. In addition, the portions are quite the size that even two tacos will fill you up fast. I’ve already started following them on Facebook and Twitter with every intention to visit them any chance I get.

It was a night full of good beer, great food, and awesome company!

Of course, because I am such a busy lady and have to squeeze as much as possible into photo 4my calendar I was able to see the lovely Kyrra this evening. I hate to admit this, but I flew up US75 to Allen for a ladies margarita night! I WILL DO ANYTHING FOR A MARGARITA and of course, girl talk.

Kyrra seriously is like my long lost friend soul mate – she gets me. By the time I pulled into Uncle Julio’s parking lot and got inside, a frozen strawberry margarita was waiting for me on the table. We laughed, talked, and drank the night away. Already making plans for our next round!

It was a perfect start to the weekend and I am looking forward to today.

This makes me really sad that we didn’t hang out when I was in Dallas. We totally need to makes set on the record and book plans to hang out together on my next trip.
I’m the best person to food truck, burrito eat, beer drink with. I had a lot of practice, I’m from San Diego and I live in LA Mexican food truck capital of the world!
