Last night was bittersweet for me. I packed up Indigo LaRue for our trip later this week. The more I looked at my calendar, the more it made sense to just get it over with now. Between today and my flight leaving Thursday morning, I doubt we would’ve gotten any quality time in with each other.
This is my first time traveling with my sewing machine and from my extensive research on the internet, I’ve come to gather some peace of mind for this trip. Flying with a sewing machine isn’t that difficult – I called the airline and verified that it’s ok to bring my baby on the plane. It’s packed in the perfect carry on companion, a very colorful Va Va Bloom Get Carried Away Tote. If Indigo LaRue is going to travel, he travels in style. My spare needles and sewing knick-knacks are packed in my luggage that I’m checking. We are ready to go.
My week is mapped out to finish up some final assignments I want to have turned in before I am out of the loop of the real world. My to-do list at work is short and sweet – hopefully no surprises come out of that because it will have to wait until May 3. Everything is planned out for WareBear to hold down the fort while I’m out of town (with a little assistance from the baby sister).
And I’ve decided that I’m hash tagging this trip on Instagram as #salt&peppareunion – so look out for us! It’s about to get real crazy!
