If you follow me on Instagram , you already know that I’ve been out and about in Dallas basking in the beautiful spring weather we’ve been having. It’s been too pretty to stay inside, so I’ve been indulging in brunch on patios and frolicking in the sun while David watches on.
This weather and an instagram challenge gave me the courage to revamp my entire closet for spring delights! From circle skirts, midis, and maxis – I’ve been capitalizing on the fact that I am not constricted to wearing pants or facing the music to pull out my tights to keep warm.
With this spectacular Dallas weather, comes the outdoor event season. A trip to the Arboretum is in the works and I’m going to convince the man that we need to visit the zoo while we are at it. Among these many events I want to plan, I’ve already RSVP’d for quite a few that require a little more dressy casual to get me through.
No need to fear, my eclectically styled closet is here!

If there is one thing I can pride myself in with my fashion choices is that I do not stray away from color. I love wearing bright and vibrant hues that make me smile inside and out. Black is fine, but I am a firm believer in standing out.
While cleaning out my closet and figuring out what needed to be donated, retired until winter returns, and strictly labeled as work attire – I came across this pulsating orange dress that I knew needed to be styled. Since it’s such a bright hue, I opted to pair it with my nude pumps to dial it down for a dressy casual feel.
Now for the creme de la creme of this outfit! This funky number pairs one of my new favorite pieces from The Vintage House in Downtown Carrollton, the Dona Bela Shred Necklace. My obsession for this piece runs deep, because I contemplated walking out of the store with it….until someone purchased the one that I had my eye out for. At that point, I knew that I needed to buy one right there because they wouldn’t be around for long.
What’s your favorite dressy casual spring look? Are you more of muted neutrals or bold hues?
Oh and don’t worry The Vintage House just restocked on the Dona Bela Shreds, so go and grab one of your own!
