Happy New Year!
2016 is over.
Just allow that to sink in for a minute. It’s wild that we have finally made it through 2016 and here we are embarking on yet another journey around the sun.
I don’t know about you, but it always becomes daunting toward the end of the year reading the social media updates of people attempting to get a head start on their goals and aspirations for the new year. A part of me always feels like I am slacking a bit because I honestly am still looking around trying to wrap my head around the fact that we’ve already blown through last 12 months.
Could I have wrapped up a few loose ends from 2016? Possibly.
Could I have gotten a headstart on finalizing my 2017 goals? Sure.
Instead, the last few weeks of 2016 consisted of me coming to an array of realizations that have slowly come to fruition over the last few days with the encouragement and support of my friends. The last 4 years, I’ve been blissfully living the high life with Ware is the Vodka. It’s been my home away from home, my safe place to allow myself to be open and honest, and afforded me quite a few boozy opportunities. This brand defined me as the “vodka lady” which was always followed by chuckles and another drink.
Where do we go from here?
As this new year approached, a lot weighed on my heart as I’ve declined events that naturally 4 months ago I would’ve jumped at the opportunity to experience. Each polite decline was affirmation that my brand has grown up and I’m much more than the “vodka lady” these days. That’s going to continue to change as my impending journey toward motherhood inches closer and closer to a reality. After contemplating whether I was ready to take on this brand transition and running it by my support system, I took a leap of faith this past weekend.
Today, I introduce you to Simply Sevi. I intentionally selected this name to encompass my lifestyle brand and core values, because I’ve never wanted to be anything more or less to all of you. Everything I put out onto the internet is to benefit all of you and in turn myself in the long run.
So welcome, stay with me, enjoy the brand new name, but most importantly live simply.
