Yesterday, I shared my great shopping experience at the newest Cato Fashions here in Dallas. Today, let’s talk about a complete outfit that I styled from the racks of Cato.
While shopping I came across a fabulous pair of crocheted shorts that were screaming my name. They were sheer perfection and I knew I needed to build an entire outfit around these shorts. Well, Cato did not disappoint! I was even able to spring for a pair of tribal print sunglasses to tie the entire outfit together.
With La Ventana as the backdrop, this festive summer outfit was comfortable and appropriate for ladies night out. I’ve always been a fan of the lace/crochet shorts trend, but since they emerged I’ve never been able to find a pair that fit my glorious thighs, lady hips, and booty for days. This hugged my curves in all the right ways – the man definitely approved of them. With such an intricate design in the shorts, I opted for a more low key top. Seeing as I didn’t want this outfit to be drab, David found this top and told me that it was perfect. He was right, he is always right (most of the time) the soft feminine ruffles of this vibrant red bring so much life to the outfit.
I’ve never been one to wear sunglasses, but there is a first time for everything. The sunglasses were an impulse buy before leaving Cato Fashions that worked out so well with this outfit. As for the rest of my accessories, the bracelets were thrifted from a garage sale and the earrings/necklace set were a birthday present. Of course, whenever I’m sporting Vera Bradley – it’s come straight from The Vintage House. This was actually one of the goodies from the DBC x The Vintage House Tea Party swag bag! Talk about a great accessory to carry the summer essentials – ID, credit card, and a little cash.
