Things Are Totally Gonna Work Out

Here we are, the last day of 2015.

Last year I ended 2014 in a peculiar spot and I was slowly finding my way back to my new normal. A normal of not having my father in my life, surrounding myself with the right people, and being the best version of myself.

Just as I did last year, I’m going to keep things brief.

2015 has taught me so many life lessons and I’ve definitely come into my own even more this year. Each and every day this year was a blessing and I’m incredibly lucky for this life. My friend circle has continued to grow, my career is thriving, I’m happily in love, and I’m thankful.

Thankful for each and every moment over this last year that has challenged me to continue to strive for everything I want and desire in life. At the same time, I’ve been incredibly blessed with people who truly want to be in life and have been amazing pillars of hope each and every day. Words cannot describe how lucky I am to be your friend, family or whatever we consider each other; my gratitude is vast for each of you.

Year of Family and Friends 1 Year of Family and Friends 2

For Christmas, one of my sweet friends gave me a notebook that stated something so poignant that I had to make it the title to this blog.

Things are totally gonna work out!

I can’t control everything and honestly I don’t want to. My life is far from perfect, I’m faced with a number of challenges, and I genuinely just want to be happy. After 2015, I know that happiness is always an option and I’m slowly allowing myself to feel that more and more each day.

Here’s to 2016, more happiness and remember that things are totally gonna work out!

Watching you put yourself back together and become even stronger and more determined than before has been amazing. You are incredible and I admire you for so many different reasons. I am so fortunate to call you my friend, confidant, and truly one of my soul mates.

You’ve dealt with some pretty heavy shit (sorry, there’s really no other word to accurately describe it) over the past year and a half or so, and to see how you’ve flourished makes me so happy. Here’s to a 2016 FULL of love, laughter, fun, excitement, adventure, and of course, VODKA (and wine)!

    xoxo
