Thursday Threads | All Eyelets On Me!

Happy Thursday vodka lovers!

The weekend is nearing and I’m about to pre-weekend it up this evening with a special event with Dallas Blogger Collective. I get to see all of my favorite blogger lovelies and do a little shopping at a fun store in Dallas that I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting yet.

It’s Thursday and I’ve pulled out my threads to link up with Valery Brennan for Thursday Threads.

When your blogger bestie needs to step in front of the camera, you make it happen for her! In return, she’ll quickly snap amazing photos of your own outfit for later use on your blog. We were meeting up in Downtown Carrollton for the Chocolate Walk at The Vintage House to snap a few quick photos before walking the square.

I knew that I had a long night with a quinceañera, so I wanted to be dressy casual. This is where I pulled out my white eyelet skirt from Old Navy!

I’ll be honest and say that I could’ve bought a size down in this skirt. It was a little bulky in places and didn’t fit quite right, hence the belt. The belt was perfect for adding dimension and a little bit of variety to an outfit that looked like a white trash bag. I’ve had great luck with everything else I’ve ordered from Old Navy lately, this was the first flop since Old Navy Performance Fleece (not really, I loved performance fleece).

The rest of the outfit was comfortable and lightweight for a casual evening on the town. It was easily to show up at the party looking as if I had actually tried dressing up, when in all reality I could’ve slept in this outfit it was so comfortable.

All in all, my denim jacket has been my spring staple! I’m loving all of the different combinations that I’m pairing it with. I want to challenge myself to start wearing more blazers and veering away from just the denim jacket.

What do you think? Are you linking up with Valery Brennan and Thursday Threads?! Be sure to leave a comment so I can check out your blog!

See you next Thursday – xoxo

I loved Performance Fleece! It was totally my ish. The skirt is so cute, I may end up getting someone to fix the waist to make it a little smaller….I’m not going to tackle that project on my own.
