Two-Way Tuesday – Gearing Up For Fall

Howdy fashionistas!

Once again, I’m linking up with Valery from I’m Getting There for her awesome new blog series, Two-Way Tuesday. The concept is simple one piece, worn two ways! Valery explained her reasoning to this series as a way to help stretch her closet and get pieces worn in many different ways.

With the beautiful cooler weather we had over the weekend Dallas, I was able to give a few pieces of my fall wardrobe a test run. This was huge for me because in just a few short weeks I’ll be making my debut up as a flower girl in Petersham, Massachusetts.

Outfit 1:

My “on the go outfit “for this trip. It’s comfortable enough to travel, shop, and sometimes sleep in. The leggings are about 3 years old and were a bargain at H&M! What I love about this outfit is that it’s so low key, but at the same time has quite a bit of attitude with the funky pattern on the leggings. I tone it down with the oversized chambray top and top it off with a funky bold scarf  to tie in the entire outfit.

Outfit 2:

So we have plans to go apple picking while visiting Petersham. I HAVE NEVER BEEN APPLE PICKING! For that I’ve decided that I wanted to channel my inner cute country chic lady and imagine what one would wear to apple pick. Of course, I went with these amazing plum colored pantalones and this awesome tweed vest. When I tell you that I have been on the hunt for a vest of any kind, it became an obsession. I stumbled upon this one and my life was complete.

You can’t tell me I won’t be the cutest girl picking apples!

The second outfit is PERFECT apple picking garb!! You definitely want comfortable shoes because the orchards can be a little uneven sometimes, and if it’s rained recently it can be a little soggy. The vest is the perfect outerwear for New England fall because it’ll help you stay toasty if it’s chilly but you won’t roast if the sun pops out!!! As a native New Englander (and seasoned apple picker) I say A+!!!!

I wish I was this trendy all the time. I typically am in a t-shirt and jeans. I’m getting ready to travel, so I am vamping up my wardrobe for the mini vacation.

Christian! THANK YOU! The entire time I was posing, I kept thinking WWCAFD (What Would Christian Alexander Fashion Do?) – I need to get that on some sort of bracelet with that on it.
