I SURVIVED! I did it. For a minute, I didn’t think I would be able to pull it off. There was food, vodka, high heels, music, and VIP guests. As soon as the VIP of the floor I was overseeing the volunteers for arrived, you heard the whispers of the VIP is in the building start very quickly. It was exhilarating and extremely fast paced. From 3:00pm to 11:30pm, I sat down for a total of 15 minutes.
Through it all, I did not manage to get any pictures of my dress completely. I will share a picture with a guest of the evening and my new manager.
All in all, Day 5 at the voyager went without any big hitches….just small ones. I bet you are curious as to what exactly happened…
- Small donor mix up when someone thought they had a table, but unfortunately didn’t pay quite enough to secure prime real estate at the big event.
- Another hiccup when another table complained that they didn’t have enough food on their table – because they didn’t donate enough money to earn the cheese and veggie platters.
- The endless amount of drunk women stumbling around in their heels attempting to save face before they ate it.
I went. I conquered. Here’s to next year!
