Do It Yourself

Ware Remodeling – Kitchen Updates + Added Surprise

Another update on the Ware homefront! Our kitchen is coming together and I am more than thrilled to share photos with you all. David and his dad have been hard at work putting cabinets in and the kitchen is a completely different vision than what it started out as.

We wanted to go with a very fresh and light look for the space since we don’t have any windows in this room. So far, it’s looking very inviting and I cannot wait to cook in it. We still haven’t picked out counter tops and any suggestions would be welcomed. I am leaning more towards a warm shade of grey since the cabinets are white. Thoughts?

Let’s not waste any more time, look at that kitchen!

Talk about a drastic change from what we started out with. I have never seen two men working so hard to put together a kitchen, but they are definitely going above and beyond. Pinterest, eat your heart out!

To add to the surprise factor of it all, David went all Picasso on our front door. We painted the front a beautiful California Poppy, but the back of the door was an issue! We picked out a color called Dolphin Fin for our trim in the living room and planned on painting the entire back door this color. David had other plans and surprised me with a text by text overview of his vision.

HOW AMAZING IS THAT DOOR?!?!

It’s coming along and it just keeps getting better and better! Any DIY projects that you’ve been interested in, share them in the comments –

David seriously went above and beyond on the door. I am so happy with it. As for the kitchen, I think the lighter colors definitely helped with making it look bigger and open. I cannot wait to have a ladies night and we can all stand in it drinking wine!

It took a lot for me to get on board with the white cabinets. Now that we are picking out countertops, I am on board.

I need to see your kitchen, my biggest fear is the collection of dirt on these bad boys.

Congrats on all the hard work! It shows! I love the way white cabinets look but they are a pain to keep clean. Invest in Mr. Clean Erasers.

THANK YOU! That was my biggest apprehension with white cabinets, keeping them clean. I am totally going to write that on my next grocery list.

It looks fantastic! Galley kitchens are really hard to decorate, but you are making it look good.

It’s definitely been a challenge because as we put the cabinets in it keeps shrinking, but I think we can pull it off. Thank you so much!
