There was a lot of internal debate of where I would take this month’s Glitter Tales. I easily could’ve continued along the path of sharing the short stories I have been crafting over the weeks, but something happened to me last night that I needed to articulate in some form.
Last night was interesting in the sense that I have a voice. Actually let me rephrase that, I’ve always had a voice and its magnitude is far bigger than I ever could’ve imagined. We are all placed here on this earth to fulfill our dreams, goals, and be engulfed in grace. During these times, it’s only right that you surround yourself with the most enlightening people to guide you on your path. At the same time, you should have people that will allow you to shine and magnify your voice to places you never imagined it would reach.
As I had dinner last night, the profoundness of all the cards we are dealt in life hit me.
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” -Steve Jobs
Each day I am learning more and more about myself, my capabilities, and the power of harnessing my voice. Life is too short and precious to waste our time attempting to impress those not worth impressing. Your lot in life is valued more than what people may think of you. USE YOUR VOICE for courage, beliefs, and the steadfast notion that each day is precious.
Carry on people! Carry on!
