If you would’ve told me on Friday when I left work that I would have a 29 year old man and a 9 year old boy battling over who is going to be Iron Man, I would’ve thrown some mad side-eye. This was my reality on Saturday afternoon as David, my nephew, and I piled into the car heading to Fair Park for the Marvel Experience Tour.
Huge thanks to Geek Glam for her awesome giveaway, because it provided David and myself with a quick and easy way to enjoy our weekend with my nephew, CJ.
Decked out in our Marvel shirts along with all of the other fans enjoying the experience we had a pretty good time. CJ was most excited about the awesome mission wristlets we received in order to complete our S.H.I.E.L.D mission. Once we got inside, we made our way through each dome. At the heart of the experience was a variety of different activities that you take your chances at – this is where most of the fun was suppose to happen. Unfortunately, for my 9 year old nephew (who takes after me) waiting in long lines for each activity was not his type of thing. I’m chalking that up to opening weekend and going on a Saturday afternoon. He did want to take his chances in line to get his shining moment with Iron Man.
After his moment of glory, we ventured through the rest of the domes and had a blast! All in all, this was a great weekend!
