3 Tips to Prep for Walker Stalker Con Dallas

If you know me, I’m a total geek/nerd. I’m loyal to my fandoms, what can I say!

Since season 1, I’ve been immersed in the world of The Walking Dead. From character development, the gore, and the story telling, my life has been captivated with the zombie apocalypse survivors in Georgia. There have been random text messages between friends discussing different characters that we wanted to live or die, the cliffhangers at the mid season and season finales, and the endless possibilities on who the next threat would be.

You can say that I’m invested.

Last year I attended Walker Stalker Con Dallas on a last minute whim and was completely overwhelmed at just how amazing this event would be. I knew for 2016, I needed to up my game to prepare for the level this convention is at.

I’ve been slowly counting down the days for Walker Stalker Con Dallas and I’m here to help any of my fellow attendees to prepare for what is shaping up to be one hell of a convention.

1 | Download the Walker Stalker Con app (WSCon)

Download the Walker Stalker Con Dallas guide and you are on your way.

This will be your go to manual for the entire weekend and help you game plan for everything the organizers have packed into the two days that WSCon will be at the Dallas Convention Center. You can find guests attending, panel/photo op times, maps, and so many other helpful tools to make your weekend easier.

2 | Plan your weekend out with panels, photo ops, and table visits.

I cannot explain how important it is to have an idea of what your weekend will look like. With all of the activities going on and people attending, it becomes overwhelming to decide where to go and what to do.

The WSCon app makes it easy to add things to a built in schedule of panels and photo ops, which is great of keeping up with your to do list of celebrities you want to visit. You can browse the guests list and add to do actions to remind you to visit your favorites.

The WSCon app makes it easy to prepare yourself to meet all your favorites and catch some awesome panels.

Pull your Wild Bill’s mugs out and get ready to drink up some of the best soda. Wild Bill’s Olde Fashioned Soda Pop will be at Walker Stalker Con and if you’ve read about my other experiences with Wild Bill’s, then you know this is a MUST HAVE. If you have a mug, make sure you take it to buy your refill tag. New to Wild Bill’s – the mugs are a great investment if you frequent cons here in the Dallas area. They range from $15 to $25 and you can use them all day for free refills.

Bonus | Bring your Bisquick! Michael Cudlitz is taking full advantage of his now infamous “pourin’ the Bisquick” line and is calling for Dallas to step up. All donations will go to a local shelter, so let’s show him what Dallas is all about.

Tickets are still available and this year’s line up is better than last year. It’s not limited to just Walking Dead fans, so check out to see if you find any people you are interested in. Hope to see you there walkers!
